ABORTION ABOUT MONEY

Planned Parenthood's Barbara Zdravecky (4/7/98 letter) used her usual rhetoric against abortion parental consent laws to justify Planned Parenthoods (PP) constant efforts to undermine the relationship between parent and child. Planned Parenthood has filed lawsuits across the United States against parental consent laws thinking they know what is better for a child than her own parents. Ms Zdravecky says Planned Parenthood is concerned about our children and wants to make the need for abortions less necessary. Planned Parenthood Federation of America's 1996/97 Annual Report exposes the fallacy of these statements. Their records from 1977 through 1996 show a steady increase in the number of surgical abortions performed by Planned Parenthood. There was a
10% increase in 1996 from the previous year. The Annual Report shows Planned Parenthood performed 153,367 surgical abortions with 54,207 abortion referrals. 207,576 babies killed at the hands of Planned Parenthood!
Planned Parenthood Federation of America's income for the 1996/97 year was $ 530.9 million dollars, showing a profit of $ 35.9 million dollars. Of that income, $ 177.5 million dollars was derived from the U. S. Government--your taxes paid for the promo on and performance of surgical abortions on over two hundred thousand children. Planned Parenthood Federation of America of which Planned Parenthood of Central and Southwest Florida is an affiliate, makes considerable profit from the marketing and sale of surgical abortions. Money, not concern for our children, is at the heart of the matter. Should you care to see an analysis of the PP Annual Report, I will make it available to you.
